Our Story
We're Kaeli and Ashish, and we run Escaping Flatland out of Anna, Texas — right in the middle of the northern DFW growth corridor we serve.
We're a two-person, AI-powered marketing agency that does one thing: help independent HVAC companies in DFW build marketing systems that prove their value in revenue, not reports. We're local. We're month-to-month. You own everything. And we know your business well enough to ask the right questions before we pitch a single solution.
Kaeli Joy brings the relationship discipline: client communication, project management, and the ability to translate between "marketing brain" and "business owner brain."
Ashish Joy spent ten years in B2B marketing at enterprise software companies, driving go-to-market strategy, content programs, and building marketing systems and growth teams.
We didn't stumble into HVAC. We studied it. We spent months researching the industry, the economics, the technology platforms, the coaching networks, the Facebook groups where owners actually talk to each other, the language they use, the agencies that have burned them. We talked to contractors, read industry publications, analyzed competitors, and built our tools and processes specifically for this market before approaching a single prospect.
We chose HVAC because the problem is clear: independent operators in the $2M–$7M range are spending real money on marketing with almost no visibility into what's working. They've been sold vanity metrics by agencies that don't know what a shoulder season is. They've been locked into contracts with vendors who hold their data hostage. And the tools that could help (e.g., ServiceTitan, GoHighLevel, CallRail) are sitting half-configured because nobody has the time or expertise to connect the dots.

Marketing should prove its value in booked jobs, not impressions. If we can't show you the revenue impact, we're not doing our job.

You should own everything we build. Ad accounts, call tracking, customer data, your website — all of it, under your accounts, always. If you fire us, you keep it all. We never hold your business hostage.

No contracts means we have to earn it every month. We're month-to-month on principle. If we stop delivering, you should stop paying. That keeps us honest.

We're based in Anna. We know the Collin County growth corridors. We know the permit data in Celina and Princeton. We know the replacement cycle in Frisco and the competitive pressure from PE-backed operators. We're not a national agency running the same playbook in DFW that we run in Phoenix.
